My 1'st time with very an the last time not good at all.orderd my son 2 bean bag chairs one got cancelled aafter they sent me an email to confirm delivery.no1 told me it was cancelled for no reason.when I rang up I was passed to 3 diffrent people an no1 had a clue what was going on.rang again today as my delivery didnt turn up an they still couldnt give me answers why it was late or when it would arrive.so now I will be warning family an friends not to buy from here!!!!
I've been with Very for about 4 years now and I have to say that all of my phone experiences with their Customer Service team has been terrible. They are rude, unhelpful and most annoying, mess things up. I ordered a washing machine for my mum online, as I normally do, and chose a different delivery address so that it would be sent direct to my mums house. I also opted for the option to pick up the old one. Low and behold when my order confirmation came through it didn't state anywhere about the different address. So I called Very and asked to amend the address to be told curtly that I need to contact the courier. I did this and the nice lady at the depo advised it needs to be very. So I called Very AGAIN, told the man my dilemma and he promptly changed the address, or so I was lead to believe. 5 days later and here sitting in my living room is my mums washing machine! Being very angry I Spoke with Very yet again to be told the change never went through on time and that I would either need to send it back and re order, as they can't just replace, or hire a van to move it and if I send in my receipts they will reimburse me. So basically, I have to do the job Very should have done in the first place. Needless to say I am not impressed and my patience with this company has now ended.
To be fair I have used Very in the past and they have been okay. However I have now had two orders on the trot messed up. The latest was for a large item so I wasted a day's annual leave to wait for it but still no sign. As with the last order I have ended up just cancelling it to avoid further aggravation. The main problem is the lack of customer service when you try to find out what is going on - very frustrating. I won't be placing any more orders with them as they are just too unreliable.
I'm sure for many the credit line that Very offers the buy now pay later gives you a feel good factor that is reminiscent of the old days. The access to good brands. The seemingly good prices. All paves way for what should be a good experience.
Unfortunately delays, confusing pricing and extremely bad customer service will guarantee leaving a bad taste in your mouth no sooner than do you have a problem with an item. This only escalates to a point of despair when you realise that larger items become a thorn in your side with a lasting sting.
Unfair you may say but I'll let you decide and see if you stay or make a Very quick exit to an alternative site as this is my wife's decision upon reflection of her last purchase her last experience with Very .co .uk
I have been with Very for two years in that time I have purchased several items have all ways made my payments on time and normally paid for quicker than required. My latest was a 8 piece Garden furniture set ordered 24th March at £699 received 05th April then Very reduced this 14th April to £549.
£150 difference but I felt not too worry like other reputable companies the difference would be refunded or at least a discount against a future purchase.
I speak to customer services my initial contact was rude and tried to fob me off but after asking several times I was put through to the Supervisor who seemed more receptive with my issue who even tried to reduce it there end but to no avail. They then advised they would send an email to there buyers department and I should also send an email to customer services. This was all done and I was advised 3 days for response to my email. Easter weekend and a busy schedule so I waited until today and spoke again to a Very advisor who said the reply from there buyers department. Advised they would not honour the price.
Now for more confusion the page suggests once built an item cannot be returned, the advisors say if I return it and 're order the same item then they will give me the lower price. This is absurd and archaic to dismantle return and reorder and rebuild the same item leaving me to feel held to ransom.
So my promise to Very is this I will pay off my account in six to eight weeks and then proceed to close my Very account. The time for gestures has passed I can no longer trust your site or the prices displayed, how would I ever purchase from you again. I brought a tv last year from a different company they reduced the price 20 days later I rang them up and they refunded the money.
Received my table and chairs for the garden, absolutely fantastic quality and price. One of the only companies to deliver to Jersey without charging you a fortune. First place I shop for furniture, always received in good time, customer service has always been excellent. I always recommend very.co.uk to all my friends. Keep up the good work.
To all those who love online shopping please stay away from very.co.uk!!! They are the most rude people ever! They have no respect and try to intimidate you! There customer service is rubbish and impolite. I tried re-activate my account which I hadn't used for around 10 months, whilst going through security the insolent advisory decided to reject me and told me that I will never be able to open an account with them again! I have never been so insulted in my life! They accused me of giving false information, even though I was ready to send all necessary documents and go through another credit check! Please stay away from this disrespectful company who will try to bully you!
What a fantastic company i was so impressed with the service from being able to order easily through their website , customer service who called me to arrange delivery even sending text messages to confirm date of delivery , the delivery staff were friendly and effecient too .I will definitely be ordering from them again ...btw love the chair !
Bought a Phillips shaver on offer for £40. Returned it under guarantee. Was sent a replacement and charged £105. Phoned up, and was told I would receive credit of £65. Still waiting after numerous phone calls. Why??? One star because I can not give nil!
Products arrived late and damaged, when we tried to get them to replace they said their systems don't allow this and we have to send back and re-order and pay again! Still waiting for product 2 months after initial order...
Frustrating experience with delivery of new furniture and collection of faulty / broken furniture. Take no responsibility to resolve issues. Cancelled an item because for the life of them couldn't sort delivery of. Completely detached from their courier and even the 'manager' was hopeless. Faulty item still not collected and 90% of customer service have no clue and no access to the right account information. What a shame as some products are very good but I will never buy from these muppets again, neither will anyone I know.
Ordered a lawn mower Sunday evening to collect at local shop, this came with a free strimmer. Recived txt tuesday afternoon saying had arrived. Drove to shop only to be told that just the free gift was there not the lawnmower. Phoned customer services who said they would trace item. Called again next day to say returned to depot but would be sent back out. Heard nothing called again to be told i have to ring depot on Tuesay after Easter to find out what has happened. Come on Very why am i having to make all these phone calls - surely you know what you have done with my parcel. Your customer service is appaling, I refuse to call again on premium rate numbers to a foreign call centre - one word - APPALLING - i will shortly be closing my accounts
I bought a tv which went faulty 3 times - they (the manufactures engineers) eventually declared it as unfixable. I ordered another TV and it never arrived - I phoned Very 6 times, each phone call taking at least 10 minutes and was fobbed off by every single advisor who told me something different each time - they basically lied to me. It turns out that Yodel, the delivery firm have lost it!! Very are going to refund me and have ordered another one which should arrive in a couple of days. I'm not holding my breath!!
I have yet to receive the refund for the first TV and they say it can take 14 working days, which I think is utter rubbish. I know I will be contacting them again to chase my refund, but have now decided to correspond with them by email.
My advise would not to phone as the advisors lie and fob you off, they are also very rude and unhelpful.
They have said they will refund the astronomical phone charges if i send in my phone bill, which i will do - by email. Im not sure why I ordered through them again, I must need my head testing!!!
I received a discount code through the post. I placed an order and received the discount. Once I received the delivery the trainers were too big, on requesting a smaller size I was informed that the discount could not be transferred over, and told I should of ordered the correct size. Unfortunately I cannot help that different makes have different sizing. I have sent the pair back that are too big and told them it is really bad service that they won't send me a smaller size with the discount. They have now lost an order and a good customer as I will never use them again.
