I ordered a Ps4 on Saturday 30th online, but was a bit unsure as to how easy it was to get one of these much sought after items, that I rang their customer services department to check that all was ok with my payment, and the delivery date of the 4t[ December. I am still waiting on delivery. I contacted customer services on the 4th, 5th and 6th of December to find out where my item was, and was told that their order check department would take up to three days to find out what happened to my item. As this was unacceptable to me, I cancelled my order, and requested my payment returned to my account, which they promised would be returned within 24 hours. I wait and see. I would advise anyone who has order this item in the hope that they will have it for their children for Xmas to check with their POOR customer service.
Couldn't wait for my party dress to arrive for the Xmas party tomorrow. My order arrived this morning as promised, opened the box to discover a mans suit! I rang CS to arrange for a replacement and for wrong item to be returned.. Firstly I was told it would take 14 days to arrange for a refund, I said I would prefer a replacement as they already had my money. I was told that I would have to pay again ... Unbelievable! So accepted that I have to wait for my refund. This is the first and last time I will use Very and will not recommend to any friends or family. Off shopping now to buy my dress from another supplier who deserves my custom!

My wife bought a gift from Very and it was duly delivered without a hitch. However in the parcel was a scratch card which came from Very as it was in their package.
For fun she checked it and it said she had won and to text a claim. (In hindsight foolish) she did this and received 5 texts in rapid succession saying that althoughshe had matched everything she hadn't won! OK she accepted this until we received our phone bill saying that we had been charged £8.50 TO RECEIVE THEIR TEXTS plus the cost of our outgoing one.
I e mailed Very to complain as the card was in their package and I received a reply asking us to return the card. As this was weeks later she had thrown the card away in disgust and Very have said in a terse e mail that without this they will not do anything. I have gone back to them suggesting that as I wasn't complaining about not winning, they should get one of the cards and check back on call costs. alternatively I am happy to send a copy of my phone bill which itemises the calls. I am now waiting to hear but thought I should warn customers DON'T TOUCH THE CARDS THAT COME WITH YOUR DELIVERY
After cancelling an order due to the discount not going through, I recieved a call from someone at Very confirming this was cancelled. Having doubts, I called up again the next day and was told the order was infact NOT cancelled, and that he would do it for me now. Checking up again for a 3rd time, the order was still not cancelled!!! No less than a few hours later, my so called cancelled order was delivered to my house. After calling to complain, the lady told me she would manually apply the 10% discount if i keep my order. This was apparently going to show on my account overnight. Low and behold, to my shock, this did not happen. Shock! So after 5 days of waiting, i contacted tonight to arrange a return. The useless lady on the phone advised me to go up to my nearest Collect plus. I did, and turns out Very had not included a returns form so the Collect plus shop could not take it! I am so angry about the whole thing, I feel like no one has a clue what they are doing, and it has become apparent they are bullying and trapping me into keeping this order. Contimplating contacting the ombudsmen if this does not get sorted within the next week.
Dont order anything from this so called company as I ordered an item that was on offer on a black friday deal, I was told my order was accepted they took my payment out of my bank I received a receipt for the product I purchased they gave me a delivery date so I thought all was good until I received a phonecall from them on saturday to say they made a mistake with the price so I could not have the item.I was of course angry so demanded to speak to a manager I was told although there were managers on site I would have to be given an appointment to speak to one, im still waiting for them to contact me.the so called c/s is rubbish.I work in retail and my company would bend over backwards to make their customers happy so they would return to shop with them.this company doesnt care about their customers they dont deserve customers.I certainly will not be shopping with very again o & to top it off they still have my money how cheeky ! They should nit be allowed to do this as in most shops they would honour their mistake

I've bought a few things from very, and I've had to return 3 faulty items. My last order was a Sony xperia Z. Being a glass phone you expect some protection in the box but nothing.. No bubble wrap so the phone was sliding around everywhere. Recived it in 3 days and they had an offer the day after for £50 off this phone. Was going to send it back but I thought if they could offwe the £50 for messing me around several times I would keep it. they wouldn't even offer me this. Their support team are hard to understand because half of them don't speak good English. Terrible company. Will not use again once I've paid off this phone..I hope you read this and take note Very! Awful.
I ordered an item from them as part of Black Fridays deals and 5 hours later got a confirmation email stating a delivery date. Only to get a call today saying my order was been cancelled unless I wanted to pay twice the price. I asked for written confirmation that they had made a mistake in the original price and they refused.
Terrible customer service and company. Order a product, got told it was being held by 'security' like I was some sort of criminal and then I can see from their website it was because they accidentally advertised the product for the wrong amount and were cancelling all orders!! Very bad customer service; all the emails I received were very rude and abrupt. I am closing my account with them and taking my custom elsewhere!
Had an issue with my order which meant Very.com team had to phone me. I have never been spoken to in such a rude and abrupt manner considering they were supposed to be customer service. For an issue that wasn't even my fault. Safe to say I wont shop with them again.
Great service and very fast delivery
hello this is what has happened to me. I orderd an item , paid for it then had an email with conformation of my order. then they phoned me up stating the order price has changed if you want the item you will have to pay over £150.00 extra, BEWARE.
Very has the most shocking customer service I have ever known no two people know the same answer to any question constant wrong information given constant problems takes an hour for advisor to get order correct then they loose it off system this has happened on three occasions extremely frustrating.
You ask for items on bnpl your told its agreed then you receive letters a couple of weeks later tellingbyou you've incurred charges the companies a disgrace as is littleeoods!
Good deals available year round and cheaper than littlewoods by a mile which us funny as they're the same company. Customer service is passable only problem being I wasn't informed a item I pre ordered was cancelled by the supplier dye to lack of stock.
The main problem is the delivery service. They use Yodel and 3 times the courier has left items on the doorstep that needed signing for including a xbox one. To make matters worse they have said it was signed for.
Every time I have ordered with Very my order has arrived much quicker than expected.
I have even missed my delivery and had it redelivered less than two hours later! FREE
This week I purchased many items some with a GREAT SALE price! and to top it off I got an additional FREE £30 voucher to add to my order for spending £60+
Over the past year I got all my friends & family to open up an account with Very, they all love it too!
And finally, I'm constantly updated with emails and texts on my orders, I know exactly what's happening, where it's happening and when.
I ordered 4 items and was told it would have to be delivered in two separate deliveries (annoying but fair enough).
A few days later I received a text to say it would be delivered that day before 9PM (a 12 hour window is not great!) at 8pm i received a text & email from Yodel to say my package had been safely delivered (it hadn't!). I went to the yodel website in the email to track the parcel and it said it had been left in a safe place with a card to say where it was hidden! - I had been in the house all day and evening and no parcel or card was delivered! I used the online chat facility to chat to yodel (who refused to ring my landline to discuss in person) and instead gave me the mobile number of Liam the delivery driver (yodel refused to ring him themselves ) the number was wrong and belonged to someone else. I asked yodel to check the number they had emailed me but they said they couldn't help further and someone would ring me within 24 hours, I had spent nearly an hour that evening chasing yodel and was worried about my missing parcel and annoyed Yodel were fobbing me off - no-one from Yodel rang me the next day or evening (and still haven't now 3 days later!).
The day after the failed delivery I rang Very. I had to endure an automated menu and a 15 minute wait only to be cut off when I finally got through. I rang back and it happened again, I was so frustrated and had wasted another half an hour with this! (not great for a busy mum of 2). On my 3rd attempt I finally got through after a 10 minute wait and was told it would have to be investigated (to check I wasn't lying about not receiving the package) the advisor was rude and completely unhelpful, I was given no apology for the inconvenience or having to spend so long waiting to speak to Customer services. I was told someone would phone me at some point but have so far heard nothing..........Cant wait for the second half of my order to be delivered to see if this can turn into anymore of a nightmare.
I'll post a full review when I've got the time. But, for now, put frankly: Do not bother with this company unless you absolutely have to. And even if you have to, really consider EVERY SINGLE other avenue before entering into any transaction.
Their CS is an embarrassing onslaught of robotic, cold, useless amoebas who basically just say "No." They never ever ever ever help.
I'll admit, there have been 1 or 2 people who have really tried to help, but have failed miserably due to the constraints put in place by their radically stupid and useless processes and procedures. Which are, more often than not, enforced in a draconian manner by the aforementioned amoebas.
It is truly remarkable how no one there has the basic human capacity to actually listen to what is being said to them or read what has been written in an email, then act accordingly on the information they've received. Not a single person has taken heed of what has been said to them time and time and time again.
I've managed to learn more than I ever cared to know about Very/Littlewoods' CS structure (this would happen after several phone calls a day and an extremely long list of emails sent to their queries@ address) and, working in a similar setting, I honestly do not understand how they manage to achieve ANYTHING, or maintain a single SLA.
To top it all off, I was sickened to find out that the courier service they use is Yodel. There's a dream team for disaster if I've ever heard one.
Can I please give 0 stars? Or -37?

Brilliant until you have a problem. Company admit they don't reply to email. Since rooted to S. AFrica there customer service has become non existent. I would send a warning to regular loyal customers, there CS has changed beware they don't care.

I called the expensive 0844 number 6 times today trying to cancel an order. Took me 7 hours including being cut off to eventually be told it was too late as the item had been dispatched. The website for queries and cancellations is abysmal to navigate as well, a cynic might think they make as difficult as possible and want you to call their profitable number instead. An appalling and frustrating experience all round.
I ordered a pair of vans off the website and when they came it was the completely wrong size. I had ordered a women's size 6 and received a men's size 8! So I returned it a few days after via my local post office and 19 days later I still have not even received any email to say that they have gotten the item and therefore my account has not be credited. This is annoying as the vans cost me £50 and I would like my money back, especially because they are the ones that messed up my order in the first place!!
I ordered 3 items from Very for Christmas. It was the first time of using this site. I ordered 2 craft sets and a doll for my daughter and used the Click and Collect Service with the items to be delivered to my local Asda store. I received email notification that the goods had arrived so went to collect. As soon as I was handed the parcels I knew immediately that the doll was not one of them. I actually opened the parcel in the shop and found that instead of a doll I had been sent a beige jumper/cardigan - I didn't open it to fied out which. However, the advice note indicated the parcel contained the doll I had ordered. The ASDA man said I would have to speak to Very which I understood. So I phoned Very only to find out that as I appeared to have entered the wrong date of birth on registration they could not discuss the matter despite me confirming all the other details asked for. So I returned the cardigan - the returns notice instructed me not to include notes or letters and since I was unable to speak to anyone I had to return a parcel with conflicting information and no explanation of why I was sending back a cardigan instead of the doll the advice notice mentioned. I then started received emails telling me I hadn't collected my parcels from Adsa. I went back in to ASDA to find out that they needed to scan the barcodes in the emails. This could be ASDAs fault but maybe Very hadn't explained this to them. I don;t know. So I effectively collected the parcel after I had returned an item. Two weeks later, having heard nothing from Very I telephoned them to ask what was happening with the unhelpful response that I had to wait til 23rd November (the following day) for a refund. My guess was that if they had no record of the item being returned two weeks later a day wasn't going to make a lot of difference. Phoned again today and spoke to a lady whose grip on the English language was tentative to say the least. She couldnt seem to grasp the fact that I had been sent a piece of knitwear instead of the doll. She is now going to "launch an investigation" into the matter. While she is about it I hope she launches an investigation into the inept, useless company that is Very. I do LOADS of online shopping and this is by far the poorest service I have every received and I will never, every order from this company again - actually even if I wanted to when I try and log into my online account - using my email, which must be correct as they have emailed me, and my postcode which must be correct as they have written to me at the correct address - they tell me I don't have an account. I received emails asking for feedback and send adverse feedback oulining the problems and thought I have have had a follow up but nothing. RUBBISH, RUBBISH, RUBBISH service.
I have had several furniture deliveries over the past year or so each time I have been well informed via email and text of the delivery date, when the goods will actually arrive and a phone call from the delivery guys to say that they would be there within the hour. EXCELLENT service. I feel safe and very well informed. I will be using this service time and time again. Thank you.
I have recently opened a Very account and ordered a small product which I had no problems with and thought the service was okay (they did miss the day to deliver, the driver said he couldn't find my house-no call on the contact number I'd provided though). That being said I thought I'd order from them again, this time a Dining table set. As I work long hours and don't really have time to go out shopping, also appreciated the buy now pay later option so was really looking forward to getting some furniture in my new house. This turned out to be a HUGE MISTAKE! I have never been so stressed, upset and completely livid while dealing with such a 'big company'. I have called 7times at my own expense to arrange delivery for today, each time having it confirmed and then hours later getting a call to arrange delivery, I've even had a letter in the post! How frustrating!! I've spent £22 in calls simply trying to arrange delivery myself and today being told that my table is not coming and I haven't arranged delivery, all the while having to deal with attitude on the end of the phone. Needless to say I've cancelled my order now and more fool anyone who chooses to buy from these incompetent people.

Ordered three items from Very and received three items from Very. There really is nothing else to add, the process was faultless, just what I would expect.
Being a new customer to very, this was my first order which was a big christmas order (containing expensive presents, I had problems from the word "confirm order" I received a curtesy call from Very confirming my order address, the first call I missed and received a text saying they would be in touch to have another message the following day asking me to call them, I had this message twice and the second time was a waste of time and phoning credit, In the phone call I was asked if I wanted the delivery to be at my current (new address) or my old address (which personally seemed a bit of a silly question giving my billing address is my new address) I was asked if I could reapply the the offers used which I was told I could as the 10% off would be taken off the current order as I had to start the order again from scratch, which was very inconveniencing, only to try online again to apply the 10% off for new customers offer which was declined again so I had to phone very again to have the offer overridden on the system (or so I was told) to find it hasn't gone through on the email of the receipt of my purchases. On top of this I wasn't asked by customer services if I wanted a convenient delivery slot; I had to ask my self to be told they couldn't do it on the system(which initially online I had set a delivery date for a suitable day where I would be in, as the first delivery was worth over £200). After this problem, I then had problems with the delivery guys, when the first delivery came, I had stated to take it back (given what it was worth). The parcel was left in a convenience store close by- I don't know who owns the shop and the shop floor is often unattended as the owner is working in the back of the shop (I only know this from nipping in their briefly, and given the fact that there ARE people near by, who are often under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. This concerned me as the parcel was a christmas present containing a sat-nav. At the time of delivery, I was away visiting family as none of the text messages regarding delivery never stated a delivery date. The other inconvenience was that the deliveries all came earlier than what I was told they would be in the phone call. Only one of the deliveries I was in for; due to studying. My neighbour below me thankfully took one of the biggest parcels in her hairdressing shop. On the first missed call card, the time of delivery stated it was delivered between 9-9:30am, I was told the actual delivery time was 7am, just after the shop opened.
I feel disgusted in the fact I have heard good reviews from family and friends who shop with Very, and my experience was, for me personally, I felt was quite bad and could have been dealt with better. I was supposed to get money off being my first offer- which never got applied which makes me feel disappointed with Very and i feel deterred that I had den told the offer would be reapplied and it wasn't. I feel that customer services should (and in the future) also be able to offer delivery dates which are convenient to the customer rather than processing the order regardless.
I don't know if I will be shopping with Very again after this very disappointing first-time experience.
Numerous problems with ordering and impossible to try to rectify problems as customer service are rubbish. Simple requests are not understood, email customer service is just a joke and depending on where you get routed when trying to call in the 'help' is hit and miss. Returns have gone missing and still no resolution. Absolutely disgusted with Very trying to save pennies outsourcing customer service at the cost of customer satisfaction. If they sort this out then I'm sure they be back as a 5 star company but until then then get a 1, if I could give a minus score right now I would!
I have received the wrong item twice now emails keep being unanswered or states passed to correct dept who then come back and I have to start from scratch as they have not answered the question that I put to them in the first place
This has been going on for weeks now
also tried calling was told that they could not do anything about it except for me to send item back and try ordering again to see if I receive the correct item but he would pass complaint to warehouse
I have been with Very for many years and have a substantial credit limit, but recently I had the misfortune of having my bank account hacked and was unable to pay on the correct date, only being late a week on my payment, I was refused the order, that's fine, I understood, but to receive 2 letters in the post, saying it had been turned over to a debt collection agency I feel is beyond the pale. I have only received 1 text to say my payment was late, this I find very disappointing and will think twice before I order from them again!!!
Sat in all day waiting for a collection of a large returns item to receive a text telling me they were unable to deliver. Called up Very and was told they tried to deliver at 3.22 which is rubbish and a total lie. Clearly the delivery men decided to clock off early! Not at all happy!
I have used very for a long time with no problems. Until the beginning of November when I placed a rather large order. The delivery company delivered it when I wasn't home over a 7ft fence next to my house where no one could gain access to! He also signed for a parcel that I should have signed for!
Any way I called very to discuss my options. I got through to the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life! Just wanted to get me off the phone and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. I had to repeat myself 5 times and then was put on hold for a hefty amount of time to then be told it needs to be investigated and this could take until Tuesday. ( i called on Friday and had my order out in the pouring rain!)
I then called back a day later to speak to a a manger as I was not happy that a nearly £200 order was left in the rain all night. She again was extremely rude and even put me on hold half way through me asking a question! I was on the phone an hour running up a high phone bill trying to sort something out.
It's now been over a week and still nothing is sorted.
I also logged a complaint on that Friday I called and still have not had a call!
I would not recommend this company to anyone as their staff are rude and if you have a problem they do nothing to help!
Not a good start. Opened an account as had a voucher for get £30 off if u spend £60 or more. Brought a pair of boots which were faulty. Arranged an exchange but had to call again to bring price of boots back down. Then had to call again because very sent wrong size. Exchanged but had to call again to put voucher back on. After the 3rd time my boots were right but cost me around £10 in phone calls!!
I bought a laptop with my credit card...it arrived within a week and is lovely.
I bought a second laptop (for my daughter) also with my credit card which had £20 discount...they take the full price from your card and then refund the £20!!! This might have taken me over limit with the card company...How VERY INCONSIDERATE and how extremely wierd is that!!! Haven't had the refund yet but I wonder how long that takes!!!
