I had awesome customer support. I could not have built this website without the customer support...inbound C3 rep was so patient, kind, and understanding with me as I was totally clueless when it came to building a website. By the time I was done working with him, I felt so knowledgeable and proficient. I was able to work on the website myself, move things around, change things, add pictures, and create a project that I was truly proud of. I have never encountered this kind of customer support at any company - he worked with me on several occasions to get my website up and running to full proficiency...it was just awesome! Thanks GoDaddy...and thanks C3rep!

Godaddy - live operators - full of useful information- they really solve problems

Regularly someone is telling me about the newest and greatest and latest new service provider in the internet related world. I've been sending Godaddy money since I discovered them during their first super bowl ad. I often times go months without needing any special treatment from them. When I do need extra special care at any time of the day or night I simply dial their number, wait a minute or two and then get my issue resolved with a live person. All of these new services out in the world of internet and social media and technical stuff are so far behind Godaddy. Godaddy has their stuff together and I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Block German IP adress range from Telecom

I have a Domain@GoDaddy.

Can't sent mail from my account. GoDaddy support find out that they block IP adress range from German Telecom (biggest ISP in Germany).

There is no option for disabling E-Mail filtering and GoDaddy told me to convince the German Telekom that they should negotiate with them. Sorry, GoDaddy can't do this but will cancel my contract withyou

GoDaddy blockiert für E-Mails die IP Adressen der Telekom. Sie sind nicht bereit den Filter für meine Domain abzuschalten. Ich soll die Telekom davon überzeugen auf GoDaddy zuzugehen und denen zu garantieren, dass aus deren IP Pool keine komischen Sachen mehr gemacht werden... sehr realistische Lösung ;-)

Ich kündige meine Domain, lieber zahle ich woanders mehr und kann diese dann auch nutzen.

I'm very disappointed and here is why

This company will spend significant dollars in marketing however he once you become a client everything goes wrong. I managed to have several good websites domains basically stolen from me and held for ransom. Customer service was poor and I would not recommend anyone to use them. Stay away if you value your sanity.

Avoid like the plague

Spent £1300 + with these guys in June 2013 only to get a amateur looking website. I had to phone them 2-3 times a week to point out obvious mistake in set out, over lapping of pictures and banners, spelling, alignment and so on. It is now Feb 2014 and the website is still not right. You can only ring 15:00 uk time to speak to them as its the US and the Website team are located somewhere else. It takes 7-14 days for adjustments, this is only after hassling them to do so. Average wait time for a call to be answered is 15 mins. They will however send you plenty of links to "do it yourself".
I decided to cancel and only go back £500 due to the time the designers spent on adjustments they made mistakes on. Every time you ring they will try and sell you another service.
Like i said avoid like the plague....

I usually get all my domains through Godaddy

I know there's a lot of different domain companies out there... but I think just out of habit, I've always gone through GoDaddy to get all my domains. Doesn't mean their they best... it's just somewhere I've gone to get it since I started building websites.

Payed and no feedback anymore

i payed the Domain selling Service with 69$ since then no Feedback on emails any more. did i got cheated?

Mediocre

I've tried many different domain sellers and as a matter of fact, Go Daddy hasn't exactly been on the top of my list. It isn't that bad compared to some of the other domain sellers but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, to be brutally honest. I won't go into detail but I'm sure anyone who has experiencing their service would be able to find out.

I would be lying to say they're a fantastic service.

Well, their price is atleast decent, although I was fully capable of finding a different domain seller with a better price. But nevertheless, they're known for having great service. Well that's what my friend told me.
I gave GoDaddy a try a few days ago for my business site, and I can definitely say they aren't exactly the best. Their interface is a tad sophisticated to work around with and I wouldn't recommend a newbie to GoDaddy.
As an overall, I would say their service is mediocre.

Awful for UK customers

Awful, awful, awful. Please avoid the shopping cart product like the plague if you are a UK based business looking to sell products online. Everything is very US focused - but that's not make clear until you actually get down to trying to set things up. Click the link to set up a menrchant account to accept credit cards and you get taken to a form that only applies to US customers! A merchant account costs £41 plus VAT for US customers but £475 plus VAT for UK customers.

The help pages are not linked to the "action pages" so you can look up how to do something but then have to spend ages hunting down where to do it. I've had to resort to using Google to find whay I am looking for on Godaddy. The site navigation and layout if beyond bad.

Customer service is totally usless if things go wrong - the worst I've ever encountered - they just don't give a monkeys. I get partial answers to questions.

I wish I'd gone somewhere else as I am now going to have to move my business elsewhere to a company that actually serves UK customers!

Hosting and Complimentary Sanity Loss and Suicidal Tendencies

Two weeks, 5 sites consistently down and Godaddy still ruins my life.
One job lost, thousands of membership site clients unsubscribing and my partners wanting to kill me.

This was not just one of the worst IT experiences I have had (after 8 years in the industry) but it was one of the worst experience of my life. Businesses lost, unimaginable stress and teams of workers sitting around for 2 weeks as they could not access the sites.

In total I spent over 90 hours working on something that should be the most simple process ever - moving from one hosting to another. Wrong.

To begin with they tell you to make a backup of your current hosting and upload it their server which can then unzip it and 'away you go'. Well, it couldn't unzip it, 2.8GB is a super large file.

So I had to download the file unzip, re upload the unzipped files and then the fun began. This is when wanting to kill myself and everyone at go daddy began.
From a host of MySQL database errors, some they fixed, some they caused and all of which was 'outside of our current support' but of course the sales staff say 'no worries we help guide you through all that'. It's not simple with them, its not easy and they may even ask you to upgrade to a Cpanel system which means all your emails etc go back to the stone age. I hate you.

Before that their 500MB of email space was only 500 accounts at 1mb each - bastards. There's another $100 given up for extra email space - not what sales tells you. Lies.

The Music: What do you think would happen if they actually played depressing / not-upbeat music the whole time? People would be topping themselves.

Finally I spoke to 'Phil' - who, after spending an hour on the phone and helped me escalate my claim twice - one of my other sites on the server failed. FML . Thank god after a few biscuits and episodes of 24 they fixed what they broke. After now a total of $100 skype dollars of credit wasted they told me to begin it all again as they can't seem to fix the database for the primary domain or guide me on how to do it. Now, I do wish I was an American so I could go postal on their customer service department.

Hear me guys - nothing, not even FREE hosting forever and ever is worth going with these guys. You know when you buy a ticket for a flight at a cheap price but after one piece of luggage and taxes the $60 flight is now $190? Well that's Godaddy on the web.

Horrible Service - Especially for Website - Would not Recommend

I've been a loyal customer since 2005 - and that loyalty means nothing to Go Daddy.

I am never able to login to my account. Today, I tried to use the umpteenth password godaddy has forced me to reset, and godaddy kept saying it was an invalid password. Yet, when godaddy reset my password and I tried to use the same one, godaddy said I couldn't not reuse that same password. So, godaddy wouldn't let me use my password to login, and godaddy wouldn't let me use it as a new password because it's saying it was already used. This has happened at least 5 times over the years.

Last year I also purchased their website package and prepaid for an entire year in full. In addition to not being able to login to use it - when I did contact godaddy - the rep was rude and told me he could not help me with the website software. Needless to say, I was unable to use my year of website service because of my inability to login to use it and the rude unwilling staff to help.

It was easier to simply setup another account with another website service (webstarts), which I was able to reliably login - but now I have more time and in order to consolidate my domain orders, etc., I called godaddy and asked them if I could finally use the year of website management I had purchased last year - godaddy refused. Despite never using the year long service I had purchased - I was told I would have to purchase another year to use it - and they would give me a free six months if I spent more money.

If godaddy is able to provide 6 months free to its customers for inconvenience - they should provide it upfront in faith that their service is good and I will want to purchase more once my 6 months is up. Obviously godaddy has NO FAITH in it's product. Godaddy is demanding that I pay twice to use something once, and only then godaddy will provide free service - which after a year of their nonsense I would most likely not be interested in six months more. I must have been out-of-my-mind to even give godaddy a 15th chance at my business - and godaddy's response was typical as ever - reminding me why my business is spread over to other companies. I even spoke with a supervisor who is the one who tried to manipulatively get me to spend more $$$ at godaddy while ignoring the serious problems I did face when I did spend $$$ with them!

Godaddy not useful but I got better one

Godaddy services is really bad.I was dissatisfied and then I hosted another company for my website.It will give you flexibility and good customer service which is impacable.So I recommend you all to go to this link

Used Them For Years

I've used this gaudy company for several years for generic domains. There prices are unbeatable, esp. since I have been using the same discount code for several years. They also offer good deals on bulk orders. The control panel does everything you want, though it is very cumbersome and not user-friendly. Their site in general is not user-friendly. When ordering something you are barraged with adverts. If it was not for those aspects I'd give them 5 stars. I've also found the support to be good.

Top Notch Service - Even when it's your own mistake

I recently renewed a domain which wasn't my intention. By my own fault I did not realize the auto-renew function was on.

I wrote to godaddy's customer service. They responded swiftly and offered me in store credits to my account. I however explained that those was sadly quite useless to me and they responded promptly after and gave me a refund, even though it was my own fault really.

All I can say is that they provide great customer service for those of us who aren't too internet/domain savvy :)

Stunning customer service, good domain prices & honest upfront prices

I ordered a domain transfer online from Godaddy before I realised the depth of the rip-off that The Company Warehouse have conned me with, meaning I can't transfer yet (but I am soo going to)
When I got through to a Godaddy representative she gave me service like I haven't had in a long time, helping me with everything she could & organised a refund on the spot (as I couldn't put the transfer on hold). Completely unlike the unhelpful, useless customer service at The Company crackhouse (avoid avoid avoid!)
& their costs are a fraction of The Company flophouse (avoid avoid avoid!)
& Godaddy tell you what their renewal fees will be -, unlike the rip-offs at The Company craphouse (avoid avoid avoid!)

I've worked with GoDaddy because one of my clients did and man, what a mess. You need to actually wait before you can create an FTP account, you need to wait to switch domains, almost like they have so less ram that they need to make a queue for all clients.

Don't go with GoDaddy if you're looking for speed. As one of the biggest providers they do know how to offer reliability at sharp prices, but when looking further, you'll be able to find much better deals.
